			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>2009 was great but ended with an injury.<br />
I met my goal for 2009, I completed my first sprint triathlon !<br />
setting this goal really helped me focus, and not just in train ing. it turns out that it helped me balance out other aspects of life as well (work, home).<br />
i ended up with a knee injury after the triathlon. I think hearing the cheers neer the finish line andthe urge to finish ahead of the 50 year old lady breathing down my neck made push just a bit to much&#8230;.<br />
I havn&#8217;t trained at all since September, just about 5 month of total couch potato.<br />
this year I plan to stengthen my body and treat my body better.<br />
the goal for this year is to complete 3 sprint triathlons, and remain healthy <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

		<description><![CDATA[30 minutes of medium to high intensity. with warmup and cooldown this was 8.5 miles. <p>Its been great to feel committed  to the training program.</p>
<p>I think the fact that i am actually doing this in time in my life where i would usually not do these type of things is a huge driver for me.</p>
<p>A 3 year old, 1 month old, demanding job but i am still finding the time to get the training done !  I&#8217;m proud of myself.</p>
<p>This week i focused on getting some baseline training done.</p>
<p>2 Runs, 1 bike, 1 swim. Each workout between 20-30 minutes at medium intensity.</p>
<p>In week 2 my goals are</p>
<p>- Mon &#8211; bike</p>
<p>- Tue &#8211; Swim (maybe in the lake)</p>
<p>- Wed &#8211; Run</p>
<p>- Sun bike +run combo (1st time)</p>
<p>Workout will be 20-30 minutes and still at medium intensity.</p>
<p>I will try to squeeze in a bit of strength training if possible.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Ran for a good 20 minutes. It was a hot day, i had a headache ,lack of sleep,  i felt bad throughout the run but i did complete it.
